Surgical Tech - Certified Surg Tech

Surgical TechnologistSurgical Technologist position available. Facility has 109 licensed beds. No trauma designation and is not a teaching hospital. The facility is an advanced primary stroke center. The unit has 5 operating rooms. Average cases per day range from 20 to 22. First-time travelers are accepted. Required patient types include General Surgery, Orthopedics, OB-Gyn (including c-sections), Endoscopy, Cataracts, and ENT. Support within the department includes OR transporters and charge nurses. Phlebotomy and a 24/7 RT team are available on-site. Clientists are present 24/7, while intensivists are not. Anesthesia and CRNA are also available. Technology used includes EPIC for EMR, Alaris for IV pumps, and Omnicell for medication dispensing. There is no specified floating policy. Scheduling includes weekend rotation with on-call every 5th to 6th weekend. Call is required, averaging 1 day a week, with holiday expectations of working 75% of holidays on call. Manager approval is needed for any requested time off.
