Shift Supervisor-Folding Carton Manufacturing

This exciting opportunity as a Shift Supervisor focuses on leading production operations, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved within a packaging manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for a hands‑on manufacturing leader with strong team development skills and experience supporting fast‑paced converting or packaging operations. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate shift production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives. Lead continuous improvement initiatives and promote a Lean Manufacturing culture throughout the operation. Monitor departmental KPIs and implement corrective actions when targets are not achieved. Ensure availability of raw materials, supplies, and production resources to support manufacturing schedules. Train, mentor, and develop production employees and team leaders. Support production scheduling, inventory control, and workflow optimization. Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance. Maintain compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards. Conduct employee performance management, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed. Drive productivity improvements through Lean Manufacturing principles and process optimization. Facilitate effective communication between shifts and cross‑functional departments. Required Experience 3‑5 years of management or technical experience within folding carton manufacturing, printing, die‑cutting, gluing, or related converting operations. 5‑7 years of supervisory or leadership experience within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent leadership, communication, problem‑solving, and team‑building skills. Experience with KPI management, root cause analysis, and process optimization. Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, and manufacturing operations. Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and lead cross‑functional teams effectively. Preferred Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred. Experience with quality systems and process controls preferred. Experience within high‑speed packaging or converting environments preferred.
