Shape what's next for mission-critical government projects while shaping what's next for your engineering career.MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACTThe Software Engineer shall be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Tools and Services in support of the Atlassian's suite of products (such as Jira, Confluence) collectively known as SUBURBANDEVELOPMENT. The Software Engineer shall work closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, system administrators, project managers, and mission customers to deliver seamless integrations that enhance productivity and streamline workflows.WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEEDBring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Software Engineer Senior must have:Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of ScienceExperience: 5+ years of related experienceSecurity clearance required: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph Position Required Skills:Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux ToolsExperience writing Bash/Python/PHP scripts to automate administrative tasks and workflowsExtensive software development experience with JavaExperience using an integrated development environment such as the Atlassian plugin software developer kit (SDK) or Visual Studio Code (VS Code)Experience with IaC principles and automation tools such as AnsibleExperience creating documentation of configurations, procedures, and system changesExperience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CIExperience with containerization technologies such as DockerExperience deploying containerized services under Kubernetes orchestrationExperience with Git for source code management, branching strategies, and team collaborationPosition Desired Skills:Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)Experience with sustaining mission applications deployed in a Linux environmentExperience with interacting/training external customersGDIT IS YOUR PLACEAt GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
