Quality Control Technician \n

Chagrin Falls, OH \n

2nd Shift: 2:30pm - 11pm, Monday - Friday, Occasional Overtime and Weekends during the busy season (April - September)\n
\n
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour based on experience + $2.00 Shift Differential \n
\n
Position Overview \n
\n
\nThe Quality Control Technician I conducts testing of samples to ensure product batches and finished goods meet all quality specifications. Sampling and testing of incoming raw material bulk tanker loads (primarily industrial solvent liquids). Some troubleshooting and problem solving is involved.\n
\n
Primary Responsibilities \n
\n

\n
• Performs testing of finished goods and in-process line samples to ensure they are within quality specifications
\n
• Determine how to correct out-of-spec materials and direct production to make those adjustments
\n
• Ensure safe and appropriate practices in lab
\n
• Testing requirements include but not limited to viscosities, densities, gel times, etc.
\n
• Prepares & tests samples for advanced testing (i.e. peel and shear strength)
\n
• Maintains daily quality log, history files, etc.
\n
• Maintains the sample retain room
\n
• Interprets and applies inspection & tagging instructions, procedures and standards
\n
• Supports production for process testing
\n
• General housekeeping of QC Lab including cleaning and maintaining test equipment
\n
• Authors test procedures and work instructions as needed
\n
• Initiates non-conformance &Trial Material reporting
\n
• Supports customer service for complaint investigations
\n
• Supports R&D development testing, as needed
\n
• Monitor lab equipment calibration testing and report as needed
\n

Minimum Requirements \n
\n

\n
• Needs a high school diploma or equivalent
\n
• 1 year of lab experience or education in chemistry lab
\n
• Must be able to do basic math
\n
• Walking, pushing, pulling, stretching, and lifting 50 lbs
\n
• Able to perform job with minimal supervision
\n
• Good organizational skills; able to keep records
\n
• Some mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills are required
\n
• Experience with shiftwork
\n

\nPay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.\n
\n
\nThe salary for this role is $22.00 - $26.00 per hour based on experience + $2.00 Shift Differential.\n
\n
