DIETITIAN – Fairfax Behavioral Health (Washington, DC) Fairfax Behavioral Health is looking for a Per Diem Dietitian. Days/Times are flexible; weekends as needed. Location: Kirkland, Washington. Position Summary The Dietitian plans modified diets as requested by the attending physician or licensed practitioner, provides nutritional assessments for patients as needed, and counsels patients and their families on dietary plans, food selections, preparation, and nutritional principles. The Dietitian monitors the performance improvement plans of the Dietary Services department and provides input in the development and implementation of patient care plans in relation to nutritional needs. Qualifications Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition or dietetics from an accredited college or university. A Master’s degree in clinical nutrition or dietetics is preferred. Experience: At least one (1) year of post‑internship work experience in clinical nutrition is preferred, in a health care facility with a concentration in nutritional assessment and counseling. Prior experience with eating disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and other behavioral conditions is preferred. Credentials: Registration with the Commission on Dietetics and certified dietitian status with the State of Washington.
