About the Position

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Monday through Friday with 2–3 required weekends per 6-week scheduling period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill neonatal patients in a Level III/IV NICU setting
• Manage post-operative patients, including those with g-tubes and tracheostomies
• Operate and monitor invasive and noninvasive ventilation equipment and various ventilator modes
• Float to other units as needed based on patient care demands
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of total NICU Level III/IV experience, with at least 1 full year in a Level IV NICU
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• NRP certification required (American Heart Association only)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam (pediatric and adult) with a minimum score of 80%; must demonstrate 100% identification of lethal rhythms

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with trach and ventilator management across multiple modes of ventilation
• Experience caring for post-operative neonatal and pediatric patients
• Familiarity with high-acuity Level IV NICU patient populations
