Pharmacist in Jackson, MI

This opportunity is for an experienced pharmacist to support inpatient hospital pharmacy services with weekend and selected weekday shifts. Providing critical medication management, you will play an essential role in ensuring safe and effective pharmaceutical care within the hospital environment.


Location: Jackson, MI (local candidates preferred; travel and housing assistance considered for relocating pharmacists)


Schedule:

• Saturdays and Sundays, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Some weekdays as needed, 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM

Duration: 13-week contract with the potential for direct hire


Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately review and verify medication orders entered via Cerner Med Manager
• Utilize Pyxis automation systems for medication dispensing and inventory management
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient pharmaceutical care
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
• Provide inpatient medication counseling and support as necessary

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Michigan pharmacist license
• Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with Cerner Med Manager order entry system
• Experience with Pyxis automated medication dispensing system
• Ability to work weekend shifts and flexible weekday hours as required
