Be part of a growing organization with opportunities for advancement and an excellent employee retention record Work alongside a collaborative and supportive accounting team Build a strong foundation for a long-term career in accounting Gain hands-on experience across transaction processing, reconciliation, and reporting Grow into a more independent role as your skills and confidence develop What You'll Do Assist with recording journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts Enter, sort, and organize financial data accurately and efficiently Perform basic account reconciliations, comparing transactions and balances to identify and research discrepancies Support month-end close processes Flag and communicate any unusual or missing information to senior team members Track multiple ongoing tasks, deadlines, and follow-up items Take on additional responsibilities as skills and confidence develop What Success Looks Like Journal entries and ledger data are recorded accurately and on time Discrepancies are identified, researched, and flagged promptly Month-end close tasks are completed accurately and within deadlines Assigned tasks and follow-ups are tracked and completed without missed deadlines Demonstrates steady growth in skills, confidence, and independence over time Qualifications Required Basic accounting knowledge, including an understanding of GAAP Microsoft Excel proficiency — comfortable with data entry, sorting/filtering, basic formulas (SUM, IF, LOOKUP, VLOOKUP), and PivotTables Strong attention to detail — able to spot discrepancies, enter information accurately, and double-check work before submitting Reconciliation skills Analytical and problem-solving skills Strong organization and time-management skills — able to manage multiple assignments, deadlines, and follow-ups simultaneously Strong communication skills — comfortable asking questions and clearly flagging missing or incorrect information Willingness to learn — open to feedback, eager to learn and motivated to work more independently over time Preferred Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing) Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Acumatica) is a plus but not required Vacation: Competitive vacation policy Charitable Time Off: Paid time off to devote to your favorite charity Sick Time: Paid sick leave in accordance with company policy 401(k) Retirement Plan: Company-sponsored plan to support long-term financial growth Health Insurance: 100% employer-paid PPO for employee only #J-18808-Ljbffr Inszone Insurance Services Inc
