ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED

We are seeking an experienced, customer-focused Software Engineer to join Team TKO in delivering a customer-facing product to a widespread user base in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, you won't just write code behind closed doors; you will be the face of the technical effort. You will directly interact with customers, lead live product demonstrations, and participate in daily Scrum meetings to transparently communicate project progress. You will utilize Jira to manage ticket workflows, ensure continuous delivery, and actively contribute to modernizing mission-critical capabilities, including Report Authoring Dissemination (RAD) and integration with PULSE / ABACUS systems. The annual base salary range for this role is $189,000-$224,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.

, Required Skills

Java Development: Hands-on professional software development experience with Java (preferably Java 21 or greater).

Containerization Security: Demonstrated experience building Docker images, maintaining container environments, and proactively managing container security vulnerabilities.

Modern Front-End: Proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks, with a strong preference for Vue.js.

Agile Workflow Tooling: Applied experience utilizing Jira to create, track, manage, and monitor technical tickets through the software development lifecycle.

Customer Interaction: Proven ability to engage directly with customers, lead product demonstrations, and articulate technical progress during daily Scrum meetings.

Modernization Domain Familiarity: Working knowledge of PULSE / ABACUS and an understanding of modernization efforts involving Report Authoring Dissemination (RAD).

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, PLUS 14+ years of professional software development experience  OR  High School Diploma / GED , PLUS 18+ years of hands-on technical software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.

, Desired Skills

Experience building, deploying, and publishing Spring Boot RESTful APIs.

Experience with eVo environments, including integrating with Greybox, Mockito, or other low-side development methodologies designed to bridge high-side infrastructure.

Proficiency with Bash scripting, Linux tools, and command-line environments.
