Senior Project Manager

Wieland’s Senior Project Managers are the primary lead for complex projects, often overseeing multiple projects at once. Based in the Shreveport, Louisiana office, the Senior Project Manager provides direction and support to project teams, with a focus on strategic planning, high-level stakeholder management, and team mentorship.

Essential Duties for the Senior Project Manager Position

• Partner with the preconstruction team on proposal development and buyout strategy.
• Review project schedules with each project team for accuracy and ensure stakeholders are notified of delays per contract requirements.
• Maintain strong client relationships and communicate with Owners and Architects on project risks, costs, budgets, and change management.
• Interpret Owner contract terms for the project team, participate in or lead Owner contract negotiations, and lead dispute resolution with trade partners and suppliers.
• Ensure subcontract agreements are executed within 30 days of award, and that trade partners have signed agreements, required bonds, and proper insurance before work begins.
• Lead monthly financial reviews to verify fee reconciliations, cost projections, and S-curves.
• Mentor project team members by setting clear, measurable goals and supporting corporate strategic initiatives.

 

Experience, Skills and Abilities for the Senior Project Manager Position

• 10 years of construction management experience.
• Procore experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
