ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Shift Length: 12 hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care nursing
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Valid driver's license for residency verification (50-mile radius rule applicable)
Role Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex health conditions
- Monitoring vital signs and administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Titrating drips including vasopressors, insulin, TNK, heparin, IV antibiotics, and sedatives
- Interpreting telemetry and monitoring cardiac rhythms
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to establish and implement patient care plans
- Adhering to infection control and safety protocols within the unit
Work Environment
The ICU unit is staffed with a charge nurse and provides 24/7 coverage by hospitalists and intensivists. Nursing staff work in a supportive environment with ratios of 1:2 for intensive care patients, and 1:5 for medical patients. Patient care technicians are available to assist nursing staff based on patient census.

- Weekend and holiday requirements vary based on unit needs
- Orientation consists of system and unit-specific training, including an open-book skills exam
- Scrub color requirement: Navy Blue
