Job Title: RN Case Manager Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Case Manager Duration: 23 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 2 years of clinical hospital RN experience; 2 years of hospital case management experience License: Active CA RN license Certifications: AHA BLS, BSN Must-Have: Knowledge of InterQual is a plus Description: Location: Medical center in West Hills, CA. Shift hours are from 08:00 to 16:30. The position requires Monday through Friday work. No call requirements. Business casual dress attire is expected. No scrubs are required. Previous charge experience is preferred. Candidates should have community inpatient hospital experience. Experience with discharge planning and utilization review is essential. Charting experience with Epic is preferred. Knowledge of Admission Criteria and CMS guidelines is required. Candidates must be able to determine medical necessity per evidence-based guidelines. Understanding of HIPAA guidelines is necessary. The daily census is approximately 120 patients. The number of beds in the facility is 225. The patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Weekend coverage is required, with a ratio of 40% on weekends. All former staff interested in returning must be cleared before submission for any open position. RTO should be kept under 7 days, if possible. Modules are non-billable and completed pre-start, varying by specialty.
