IOP Phlebotomist

Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for its Birmingham, Alabama patient service center to perform venipuncture and specimen collection for diagnostic testing. The position offers Monday-Friday hours with opportunities for growth and performance-based incentives within a global laboratory services organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections across all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol testing
- Enter patient information and maintain specimen logs accurately
- Process billing information and collect patient payments
- Prepare specimens for testing and provide exceptional customer service
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Phlebotomy certification or completed accredited training program
- Minimum 3 months phlebotomy experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pass color blindness screening test
- Reliable transportation
- COVID-19 vaccination (or qualifying exemption)
