Building Envelope Consultant

Title: Building Envelope Consultant Locations: New York Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 Job Summary: We’re looking for an experienced Building Envelope Consultant to support and lead projects for new and existing buildings in New York. You’ll work on a mix of investigation, design review, and construction-phase services, with increasing responsibility for project leadership and client interaction. Essential Functions: Lead and manage building envelope projects from investigation to construction administration. Perform condition assessments and forensic investigations using non-destructive and destructive testing. Conduct design reviews for constructibility, durability, and waterproofing of foundation systems, walls, façades, and roofing assemblies. Oversee enclosure testing activities and perform testing when needed. Serve as the primary client contact, writing proposals, and managing project scopes and service fees. Coordinate with contractors, specialists, and clients, attending meetings and conferences as necessary. Qualifications and Competencies: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, or Construction Management. 3-10 years of building envelope construction and consulting experience Architecture or Civil/Structural Engineering background preferred Knowledge of ASTM, AAMA, and industry standards Solid experience with forensic investigations and enclosure testing Client-facing experience, including proposals and project management Professional certifications or credentials related to roofing or building enclosure systems Professional licensure (PE/ RA/ AIA) #J-18808-Ljbffr Facade Today
