Case Manager

Case Installation SpecialistThe Case Installation Specialist role works closely with Underwriters, Sales Executives, Brokers, and Carriers to apply carrier guidelines and internal procedures to census enrollments, run rates on internal rating system and carrier-specific systems, and enter employee application data into carrier systems. The Case Installation Specialist is also responsible for the intake of new groups, processing approvals, assembling/ closing out files for finance approval, and assisting with general inquiries related to the submission and approval process. This position involves making independent decisions within Warner Pacific and carrier guidelines for new business and modifications to existing business. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication with brokers, and a thorough understanding of internal and carrier-specific processes.Overview of ResponsibilitiesEnter new business submissions, in a timely manner, considering carrier deadlines and designated Priority/Exception Brokers.Enter benefit modifications into Warner Pacific System within SLA for department.Demonstrate a working knowledge of how to enter groups received via email, mail, hand delivery, PRO Apply, Ease Central and other applicable online enrollment systems.Enter check entries and follow process to send live checks to the carrier upon request.Respond to e-mails and phone messages within SLA, SLA will vary depending on time of year.Perform related responsibilities and additional tasks as needed to support team and business operations.Support UnderwritingThoroughly transfer enrollment data from paper applications to carrier specific census enrollments.Data entry of group and applicant information into Warner Pacific system, if applicable.Enter group and application information into carrier specific systems.Run rates in Warner Pacific system and on carrier specific systems.Match Warner Pacific rates with carrier rates, identifying any discrepancies.Assemble and close out files for finance approval.Complete Approvals/Withdrawals/Declines, and E-Mail/Fax appropriate letters to Underwriter within a reasonable time frame.Maintain current knowledge of carrier guidelines, forms/applications, submission and completion deadlines as it relates to the Case Installation Specialists activities.Collaboration & Team SupportWork with sales team, brokers, broker's assistants, carrier contacts, and underwriting to process, obtain and organize necessary information.Provide team back-up/desk coverage, as needed.Provide back-up in other areas within the department/company as needed/requested.Expected Leadership QualitiesTreat all employees and internal/external customers with respect and support a positive and professional work environment.Adhere to company policies, including those related to punctuality, attendance, workplace conduct and professionalism.Adapt to change with a positive mindset and contribute to a supportive team environment.Demonstrate strong judgment, integrity and accountability in all aspects of job performance.Continually analyze work environment to identify areas where there are opportunities for process improvement.Maintain and foster positive open communication channels with all associates/partners, including Sales Executives, Brokers and carriers.Complete assignments on time and continually seek additional responsibilities when time allowsParticipate in other projects/activities as assigned. Strongly encourage volunteering for new projects.Additional Skills and RequirementsMinimum of a High School Diploma; advanced education or degree preferred.Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with others.Prior clerical experience, or any combination of education and/or experience, that would provide an equivalent background.Ability to understand and demonstrate the use of computer systems, computer programs and office equipment as necessary, including ability to type a minimum of 30-35 wpm and proficiency in the use of a 10 key.Ability to work overtime, holidays and weekends as requested by senior management.General planning, organizing and time management skills.Ability to multi-task and remain calm in pressure situations.Working Conditions:While this position allows for remote work, there may be occasional in-office attendance for meetings, team collaborations, and other essential activities.Full-time, Monday to Friday, with company-assigned overtime during peak periods, holidays, and weekends as requested by management.CompensationHourly Range: $17.62 - $27.64 per hour.The actual compensation may vary from posting based on work experience, education, skill level, and/or geographic location.We offer a range of market-competitive benefits that include merit increases, paid holidays, Paid Time Off, medical, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability benefits, 401(k) + match, and life insurance.Warner Pacific is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
