Our organization is seeking to welcome an Endovascular Fellow to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx . Jacobi Medical Center, a 457-bed Level I Trauma Center, and North Central Bronx Hospital, which has 213 licensed beds, are both esteemed institutions in the fields of emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women's health. The Division of Cardiology has offered a Fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Medicine for over ten years and serves as a significant teaching affiliate for Montefiore's Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program. Jacobi is recognized as a New York State certified STEMI receiving center, featuring an active PCI program and a mechanical support program that includes ECMO. Our cardiovascular clinical facilities are top-notch, providing a full spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as coronary and peripheral vascular interventions, pacemaker, ICD, and BiV ICD implantation, as well as cardiac CT and MRI. Additionally, Jacobi has operated an active Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT) since 2014.

Fellowship Opportunity Overview:

  • Jacobi Medical Center is offering a one-year Endovascular Fellowship.

  • This fellowship emphasizes the management of arterial and venous diseases through endovascular techniques.

Training will also encompass:

  • Percutaneous interventions for acute pulmonary embolism.

  • Wound management techniques.

  • Endovenous ablation procedures.

  • Management of interventional dialysis access.

  • Formal training in vascular ultrasound interpretation, provided by Jacobi's IAC Vascular Testing certified noninvasive lab.

The experience at Jacobi is distinctive due to the close collaboration between Interventional Cardiology and Vascular Surgery, offering a comprehensive didactic curriculum and hands-on training with both Endovascular Cardiologists and Surgeons.

Qualifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice medicine in New York State.

  • The ideal candidate should possess an M.D./D.O. or an equivalent doctoral degree.

  • Preference will be given to those who have completed an Interventional Cardiology fellowship or have prior cath lab experience with percutaneous procedures.

Compensation and Benefits:

Annual Base Salary: $102,747*, based on a 40-hour work week.

The total estimated annual compensation package is approximately $113,021**, which includes the base salary, 401(k) contributions, and other factors outlined below:

  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS limits):

    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution based on base earnings, with no employee match required.

  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO) including vacation, sick leave, and holidays.

  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Premium plans with employee contributions significantly lower than market rates.

  • Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to twice your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) at no cost to you.

  • Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee.
