Key Responsibilities

• Implement physical therapy treatment plans as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to residents in a skilled nursing setting
• Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes in status to the supervising PT
• Educate patients and family members on home exercise programs and safe functional techniques
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient care goals

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Virginia
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing facility environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
• Familiarity with Medicare documentation requirements and therapy productivity standards
• Experience with restorative and rehabilitative therapy techniques for geriatric populations
