Project Engineer

Project EngineerVirginia Beach, VA HybridValkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Project Engineer in Virginia Beach, VA. This position shall provide acquisition engineering production support (material and labor) to support the assembly of cables and sub-assemblies to support the remediation of equipment failures, completion of incomplete assemblies and/or replacement equipment.Responsibilities include:Providing acquisition recommendations based on independent analyses.Performing drawing development tasks and technical reviews.Performing configuration management duties for various Technical Data Packages.Performing quality checks on government Technical Data Packages and drawings.Updating drawings per government redlines to be ready for final release.Aiding with assembling hardware kits required to implement approved Engineering Change Proposals into SSDS hardware enclosures and subassemblies.Overseeing SSDS production work and monitoring progression.Performing Material Management duties on all incoming and outgoing materials.Performing equipment and systems functional testing in a lab environment.Qualifications:Must have 5 plus years of experience with SSDS, Navy, and/or shipboard systems and a BS degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.Must have experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (I.e., Project and Excel).Must have experience working with SSDS or shipboard systems.Work experience with AutoCAD and/or Inventor Software.Additional requirements:Must have an Active DoD Secret Security clearance and base access requirements.Less than 10% travel required. If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.Must be able to work in an office, industrial, or shipboard environment.Be able to lift and move materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one-man lift.Must be able to perform site surveys and carry a laptop computer.Additionally, Valkyrie Enterprises provides a variety of benefits to support your best health, wellness, and future, to include medical/dental/vision options, company paid life and disability insurances, 401k with match, education reimbursement, as well as company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO). $65,000 - $95,000 per year.
