Diabetes Education Lead

Shift: First Shift (United States of America) – Full Time, Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Responsibilities Provide leadership and support in the management of care delivery for patients with diabetes, to achieve high quality and maximize outcomes across the continuum of care. Coordinate program development, quality performance improvement, and diabetes education related outcomes research. Required Qualifications Minimum of three years of clinical experience, including education of patients on diabetes. Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) or in Nutrition/Dietetics, Exercise Physiology, or a closely related field. Completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) accredited through the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetic Education (CADE) of the American Dietetic Association (ADA) – if applicable. Completion of a CADE accredited Dietetic Internship Program or Coordinated Program in Dietetics – if applicable. Excellent teaching and communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and work with minimal direction. Public speaking ability. Basic knowledge of office computer tools such as Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Licensed Medical Nutrition Therapist through the State of Nebraska Department of Health and Registered dietitian through the Commission on Dietetic Registration – if applicable. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or a current compact state license – if applicable. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a leadership role.
