Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Sacramento, CA. In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply your mechanical design expertise to exciting projects under the guidance of top engineers in the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction industry. This position is ideal for someone with 2-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer, proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, and strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.

• Prepare complete sets of biddable construction documents.

• Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure project success.

• Produce 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.

• Apply knowledge of commercial, educational, and municipal construction practices.

• Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.

• Participate in inter-office project collaboration for regional and national projects.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit.

• Excellent communication skills.

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Designer in Mechanical Engineering, focusing on HVAC, plumbing design, controls, and hydronics.

• Knowledgeable in commercial, educational, and/or municipal construction.

• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred but not required.

• EIT, PE License, or demonstrated progress toward these goals.

• LEED AP or other relevant certifications.

• Familiarity with electrical design, MEP design, and controls engineering.

Work Environment

Our work environment offers a flexible and hybrid work schedule, allowing for a personalized arrangement with a mix of onsite and remote work. Initially, you will be onsite 2-3 days per week, transitioning to around 1 day per week based on performance. The team is structured into small groups, promoting tight-knit collaboration and mentorship. Our company culture is family-oriented and people-first, with a focus on mentorship and ongoing education. We operate in a fun and inclusive atmosphere, with flexible schedules and opportunities for personal and professional growth. Our office is located in a two-story building in San Bernardino, providing ample space for collaboration and learning. The workload is split approximately 60% technical and 40% project management, allowing for growth into more sr. level project management roles.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $67.31/hr.
