Employment Application for Computer Repair Technician The GigaParts PC Service Department has a solid reputation for fast, reliable service and we need more Computer Repair Technicians who can provide quick, courteous support over the phone or in person. The ideal candidate is fired up about technology, enjoys learning and: has experience diagnosing and repairing hardware systems with varying degrees of difficulty, including laptop and desktop computers, Windows, Linux and Mac; has experience installing and diagnosing problems with Windows Operating Systems; has experience securing systems against malware; has experience removing malware and its deleterious effects; actively gathers and shares knowledge; considers punctuality an important facet of professionalism; is detail oriented and insists on accuracy with every task; is not bothered by customers behaving badly; presents him/herself and GigaParts in a professional manner and appearance; can pass a drug test (hair and urinalysis); has no criminal history; is capable of tasks involving some physical exertion including lifting and carrying 60 pound computers, and safely climb ladders; and has (or is able to acquire within two months) a General class Amateur Radio license.
