Counselor

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Guidance Counselor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support students' academic, social, and emotional development. Responsibilities include providing counseling services, developing student programs, and collaborating with staff and families to promote student success. Job Requirements Provide one-on-one counseling sessions Develop programs for behavioral and mental health support Educate students on social skills, diversity, and coping strategies Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community resources Conduct student assessments and create personalized plans Maintain accurate counseling records Advocate for student needs Qualification Requirements Valid Florida Certification in School Counseling or Social Work K–12 OR eligibility for certification required Experience working with students in an educational or counseling setting is required. Strong skills in conflict management and behavioral health support. Background in social work or mental health counseling is preferred. Understanding of cultural diversity counseling practices is essential. Proven ability in academic advising and developing educational plans for students. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and engage diverse groups of individuals.
