AMG Specialty Hospital – Albuquerque is seeking a Full Time Charge Nurse, RN for Days with ICU/Step-down experience. Supervises the patient care activities performed by other RNs, LPN/LVNs, and CNAs. Communicates with Physicians/CCO/staff about changes in patient condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Fosters a positive milieu in the hospital. Keeps CCO and CEO apprised of situations that may place the facility at risk. Provides direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity. Responsibilities Supervises the patient care activities performed by other RNs, LPNs/LVNs, and CNAs. Communicates with Physicians/CCO/staff about changes in patient’s clinical condition and diagnostic results. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Fosters a positive milieu and keeps leadership apprised of risks to the facility. Provides direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of New Mexico. Acute care experience is preferred. Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding nursing. Current BLS certification. Current ACLS certification. Able to read and communicate effectively in English. Must be able to articulate and explain complex information and comprehend written and verbal communication. Additional languages desirable. Detailed computer knowledge. Possess excellent interpersonal and human relation skills.
