- Shift: 07:00 - 19:00
- Location: 299 Kings Daughters Drive, Frankfort, KY 40601
- Unit Name: 611 4th Floor Med/Surg
- Number of Beds: 46
- Patient Ratios: 6:1
- Staffing Composition:
- Clinical Nurse Coordinators (Charge Nurses)
- RNs
- LPNs
- PCTs
- Nurse Externs
- Unit Clerks
- Type of Equipment:
- GE Apex Pro Telemetry box
- Hoyer lift
- Sara Steady
- Baxter IV pumps
- iMobile
- Alaris PCA IV pump
- Welch Allen Vitals machine
- Glucometer
- Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
- Scheduling Requirements:
- Every other weekend
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
- Floating Policy:
- May float to 3 South (post-surgical med/surg)
- Or to PCU (to staff tele overflow)
- Patient Experience Requirements:
- At least two years med/surg experience
- Hospital Specifics:
- 173-bed acute care facility
- Magnet designation for nursing excellence
- Focus on patient care practices & safety
- Recognition for excellent patient service
- Required Certifications:
- Active nursing license in good standing
- BLS required
- ACLS preferred
- Current NIH certification (annual)
- Requested Skill Set:
- General med/surg skills
- EKG interpretation

- Post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention experience
- Advanced Skills Preferred:
- Chest tubes
- NG tubes

- Telemetry monitoring
- Paracentesis
- Dress Code:
- Navy blue or gray scrubs
- No T-shirts, fleece jackets, or sweatshirts
- Other color or patterned scrub jackets permitted
- No royal blue scrubs (designated for OB/LD department)
