NextGen Hospitality Solutions is excited to announce an opening for a Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager at our Scratch Kitchen in Columbus. This full-time on-site position is an excellent opportunity for a culinary professional looking to take the next step in their career while making a significant impact in the restaurant industry.
As the Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager you will oversee kitchen operations manage food preparation and ensure the highest quality of dishes served to our guests. You will play a key role in menu development staff training and maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment. We offer a competitive salary range of $60000 - $70000 annually along with a supportive work culture and opportunities for professional development.
Responsibilities
- Assist in menu planning and recipe development
- Manage daily kitchen operations and staff schedules
- Ensure food quality and safety standards are met
- Train and mentor kitchen staff
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of supplies
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff for seamless service
- Implement and maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
- Monitor food costs and labor costs to maximize profitability
- Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume restaurant
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Excellent culinary skills and creativity
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed
