Operating Room Registered Nurse - Trauma Experience Required

Location: Reston, VA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM; on-call required (approximately four 12-hour shifts per 8-week schedule).

Job Description: The Operating Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing exceptional care in a fast-paced environment, specifically within a Level 2 trauma surgical unit. The RN will be integral in supporting surgical teams across various specialties.

Responsibilities:

• Scrub and circulate for various surgical procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with the surgical team including Service Line Experts and OR Support Technicians.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to best practices in the operating room.
• Participate in on-call duties as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must possess BLS certification.
• Current RN license and certifications specific to role and aligned with state and federal regulations (e.g., CST).
• Level 2 trauma experience is a must; candidates without this experience will not be considered.
• Experience in multiple surgical specialties, particularly in orthopedic, neuro, general/GYN/urology (including DaVinci), vascular, and thoracic procedures.
• Expertise in spinal and orthopedic procedures is preferred.
