We're always seeking exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable individuals to join our team.Principal Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe Property Accounting Manager (Onsite, Orlando, FL) is responsible for overseeing the fixed asset accounting staff and functions across SEA, working closely with the Company’s corporate and park teams at all levels. The position’s primary functions include ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the Company’s day-to-day fixed asset activity accounting records and their conformity with US GAAP and SOX guidance; providing information to preparers for federal and state tax returns and property filings; generating quarterly tax provision support; and reporting associated with 10Q/K filings.Serve as the point of contact on the Company’s fixed asset accounting policies and proceduresAct as point of contact on internal and external audit functionsDetermining capital versus expense treatment for investment and operational activitiesSupport fixed asset tax reporting obligationsResearch and prepare technical accounting memos related to fixed assetsComplete closing month and year-end account ledgersPrepare and/or reviewing financial activities, account reconciliations and journal entriesSpecial projects and other duties as assignedPosition RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related discipline is requiredAt least 6 years of corporate accounting experience or 4 years of public accounting experienceDemonstrated experience supervising and developing staff accounting personnelExperience performing detailed reviews of financial information for compliance with GAAP and internal controlsCapable in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Accounting experience in a theme park environment preferredExperience with SAP preferredThe perks of the position:Paid Time OffComplimentary Park Tickets and PassesPark Discounts on Food and MerchandiseMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401K Retirement planVoluntary InsuranceLife InsuranceDisability BenefitsTuition ReimbursementDependent and Health Care Flexible Spending AccountsEmployee Assistance ProgramLegal Assistance PlanEEO Employer:SEAWORLD PARKS & ENTERTAINMENT IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
