CAN Community Health is now hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday-Thursday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm Friday 8:30 am - 12:30 pm Extended Hours Schedule (bi-monthly rotating schedule): Weekday 10 am - 8:00 pm; Weekend 8:30 am - 12:30 pm Pay Rate: $21.25 - $24.43 hourly based on experience Are you passionate about patient care and ready to make a difference every day? Medical Assistant-Primary Tasks # Performs medical intake procedures including vital signs and history. # Performs immunizations as directed by the physician. # Practice safe phlebotomy skills using standard precautions Practice CAN Community Health’s mission, vision, and values # Phlebotomy Tasks # Identify patients using two unique identifiers and verify test orders prior to specimen collection. # Prepare collection sites using aseptic technique and select appropriate collection equipment. # Label specimens accurately at the point of collection. # Process, centrifuge, and prepare specimens for transport or analysis according to laboratory protocols. High school diploma or equivalent required # Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred # Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA) is required or ability to achieve certification within 6 months of hire. # Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus # CAN Community Health, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and values the ways in which we are different.
