Saw Operator

We are seeking a Saw Operator to work in our Monroe, NC facility. In this position you are responsible for cutting orders to meet customer expectations using a variety of saws including abrasive saws, MFL saws, and band saws. A successful candidate will demonstrate an attention to detail and the ability to work independently. This is a night shift position from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, working on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. You will work 2 days, have 2 days off, work 3 days; then 2 days off, work 2 days, then have 3 days off. Training will be 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on the same rotating 2-2-3 schedule. Additional Responsibilities Cutting samples of metal Operate as necessary to cut off prescribed sections and properly dispose Set up machines, change blades, clean machine, and perform simple machine maintenance as needed Read and interpret milling instructions “MIs” Use tape measure and other measuring devices Stamping materials with proper ID and put slings around the finished products Maintain logs and records Qualifications Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma / GED One (1) year of manufacturing experience is preferred Skills Basic computer skills Basic math skills Time management skills We thrive when the expectations are great, and the barriers are high.
