Licensed Journeyman / Master Electrician (Traveling Service Electrician) - Oklahoma

Pay: $45.00/hour (Based on Experience)

  Per Diem: $125/day when overnight travel is required

Schedule: Day Shift or Night Shift (Approximately 50/50 based on client needs)

  Travel Area: Throughout Oklahoma

Travel Rotation : Candidates may travel and stay on projects for 1-3 weeks at a time depending on customer needs

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Licensed Journeyman and Master Electricians for service work throughout Oklahoma. This position requires strong troubleshooting abilities, leadership experience, and a customer-focused mindset. Electricians will perform service, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and installations while ensuring all work is completed safely and meets NEC and local code requirements.

This role requires flexibility for travel, day or night shifts, weekends, overtime, and occasional on-call work.

Licensing Requirements

All Service Electrician candidates must be licensed.

Active Oklahoma Journeyman Electrician License or Oklahoma Electrical Contractor/Master-level licensing preferred.

Candidates licensed in another state must be eligible to obtain Oklahoma reciprocity or licensing as required.

If currently residing in a state without statewide electrician licensing, candidates must provide:

Equivalent experience level

Local licensing status (if applicable)

Willingness to obtain required licensing

Responsibilities

Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and components.

Diagnose electrical issues and implement corrective actions.

Install, repair, and upgrade electrical systems, lighting, generators, panels, and wiring.

Perform advanced electrical troubleshooting.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and Statements of Work (SOW).

Ensure compliance with NEC requirements and applicable codes.

Conduct operational testing of newly installed equipment and systems.

Complete project deliverables including:

Pictures

Signed checklists

As-built documentation

Daily reports

Lead crews and provide training and mentorship to field personnel.

Maintain positive customer and team relationships.

Meet project deadlines while maintaining quality workmanship.

Required Experience

Active Journeyman or Master Electrician License.

Lead Electrician or Foreman experience.

Commercial and/or Industrial electrical experience.

Strong knowledge of NEC requirements and industry standards.

Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.

Experience managing project documentation and field deliverables.

Qualifications

Ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, and other computer-based reporting systems.

Ability to coach, motivate, and mentor field staff.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Detail-oriented with excellent customer service skills.

Physical & Travel Requirements

Ability to travel throughout Oklahoma.

Willingness to work day shifts, night shifts, weekends, overtime, and on-call schedules as required.

Ability to work at heights.

Experience operating Boom Lifts and Scissor Lifts.

Must maintain required hand tools and PPE.

Additional Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

No DUI or DWI within the last three years.

Ability to pass pre-employment assessments.

Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

Commitment to safety and OSHA standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
