Contracts Attorney

Role Overview

Apply commercial contracting expertise to help train next-generation AI systems through a confidential, remote legal project. You will review and analyze real-world agreements, provide policy-aligned revisions, and produce clear legal reasoning that supports how AI models learn and perform. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and redline commercial agreements, including MSAs, NDAs, DPAs, and related documents, using established playbooks and policies.
• Identify key legal issues, determine applicable company positions, and assess acceptable fallback outcomes.
• Write clear, reasoned explanations for each redline or revision.
• Apply contract drafting, negotiation, and technology transactions knowledge to legal documents.
• Collaborate with the project team to maintain consistent standards and interpretations.
• Maintain high standards for legal writing, contract-review quality, and attention to detail.
• Work independently in a remote, deadline-driven project environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active bar admission in a U.S. jurisdiction.
• At least 4 years of transactional experience at a law firm or as in-house counsel, focused on contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
• Experience with contract drafting, contract negotiation, and contract redlining.
• Deep familiarity with commercial provisions including limitation of liability, indemnification, confidentiality, and data protection.
• Ability to synthesize complex legal concepts into clear, actionable written analysis.
• Sound judgment and a high degree of accuracy in contract review and interpretation.
• Technology transactions expertise is strongly preferred.
• Adaptability and motivation to contribute to an innovative, confidential legal project.

Work Terms

Compensation

• $90 to $110 per hour.
