Newport News, Virginia Hiring Range $72,100.00 - $99,175.00/AnnualActual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs. Overview Administers compensation programs including base pay, incentive pay, and performance management independently in accordance with Riverside Health compensation philosophy, methodology and pay practices. Partners with Human Resources & Talent Acquisition to understand compensation needs, ensure accurate job description, strong market match for jobs for division/specialty. Conducts complex job analysis to determine appropriate pay grade range, job classification, FLSA status and other compensation program eligibility. Analyzes pay practices and develops recommendations for salary changes to ensure pay equity. Processes incentive pay for assigned division/department. Creates, audits and maintains compensation plans in HRIS system, compliant with plan documents. What you will do Market & Job Analysis: Conducts complex job analysis independently on new and revised job descriptions to ensure strong market match. Evaluates match to recommend competitive compensation base pay range. Prepares complex market data analysis from compensation survey sources; Uses data analysis techniques to assess results, identify gaps and market trends following market pay methodology. Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information for leadership approval. Develops pay recommendations based on market review. Prepares detailed benchmark reports in functional area for senior leadership to make decisions on market adjustments. Compensation Administration: Maintains job structures to include job profile classification data accurately according to guidelines. Maintains pay structures in HRIS system that comply with compensation guidelines. Conducts audits on job profiles to ensure accurate assignment of job characteristics (management levels, job families, FLSA, all job description data complete etc.). Creates new comp plan eligibility rules in HRIS system. Processes HRIS Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs) for payroll on compensation one time payments. Reviews all compensation changes each pay period prior to payroll cycle. Conducts compensation plan audits. Compensation Partner: Supports Human Resource Business Partners in functional area by providing compensation consulting on market pricing, job structures, and incentive plans. Uses critical thinking skills to provide compensation guidance. Assists Talent Acquisition with complex pay offers and experience crediting questions to ensure consistent practices. Performance Management: Assists Senior Analyst with annual team member and leadership merit process. Conducts audits on process before closing. Uses skills to validated merit process is compliant with performance management policy. Job Profile Maintenance: Assess job profile requests in job description system for functional area. Conducts review of job profile classifications. Ensures exempt test source documents are submitted for exempt position prior to setup in HRIS system. Subject matter expert on FLSA. Advises HR and leadership on regulations and compliance. Conducts audits on jobs and team member FLSA designation. Updates grades in job description system for all market adjustment evens and exports to HRIS. Winshare Program Administration: Calculates payments based on plan eligibility. Provides estimates of payment options to leadership for final payment determination. Distributes reports to HR Business Partners, creates and loads EIB for one time payment. Compensation Expertise: Engages in ongoing learning and development to strengthen expertise. Qualifications Education Bachelors Degree, Human Resources, Business Administration or related (Required) Experience 2 years Demonstrated experience in job analysis, market benchmarking, internal compression review and other complex compensation programs. (Required) 2 years Compensation experience in healthcare industry (Preferred) Skills and Abilities Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to collect, analyze and report on large sets of data, identify and resolve problems. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software with an intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in Excel. Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
