Role Description

The Caregiver role is a full-time, on‑site position based in Dayton, OH, providing in‑home support to clients in the local area. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, as well as helping with mobility and safety in the home. The Caregiver offers companionship through conversation, engagement in activities, and emotional support, while also performing light housekeeping, meal preparation, and assistance with errands as needed. The role involves following care plans, documenting care provided, communicating changes in client condition to supervisors, and collaborating with the care team to ensure clients maintain comfort, dignity, and independence.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide high‑quality personal care, including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, and toileting.
• Experience or aptitude for companionship and emotional support, including active listening, respectful communication, and engagement in daily activities.
• Capability to perform light housekeeping and home support tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, tidying, and routine household chores.
• Strong reliability and professionalism, with time‑management skills and the ability to follow individualized care plans and safety procedures.
• Good verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and supervisors, and for documenting care accurately.
• Ability to work on‑site in clients’ homes in the Dayton, OH area, including potential travel to nearby communities.
• Prior caregiving, home care, or related experience is preferred but not always required; willingness to learn and follow training is essential.
• High school diploma or equivalent is beneficial; relevant certifications (such as STNA, CNA, or home health aide) are a plus.
• Dependable transportation, ability to meet background check requirements, and physical ability to assist with transfers and mobility support.
