Role Overview Serve as a Physician Assistant and commissioned Medical Corps Officer in the Army National Guard, providing essential healthcare support to Soldiers and their families. Collaborate with physicians to make critical medical decisions, ensuring the health and readiness of military personnel. Key Responsibilities Cover treatment gaps, support community and national safety, and gain valuable experience in a military healthcare setting. Complete initial military orientation and training at Fort Sam Houston. Qualifications & Skills Must meet medical, moral, and citizenship standards, hold an accredited degree, be at least 21 years old, and obtain a secret security clearance. Some advanced professionals may join up to age 58. Enlistment is required. Benefits Up to $60,000 in special pay, healthcare loan repayment up to $240,000, medical and dental coverage, life insurance, shopping discounts, free flights, academic counseling, recreational access, and a retirement pension after 20 years of service. #J-18808-Ljbffr
