Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This role involves caring for critically ill neonates using various advanced therapeutic modalities. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of NICU experience and will demonstrate a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to our patients.

Unit Information

• Unit Size/Beds: 41 beds, including single, double, and triple rooms.
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:2 or 1:1, with potential for higher ratios in low acuity cases.
• Cases Managed: Comprehensive NICU care, excluding surgical and cardiac cases.

Shift Information

• Shift: Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, totaling 36 hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to sick neonates.
• Utilize various respiratory support methods, including conventional and high-frequency ventilators, CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and nitric oxide.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Adapt to potential float assignments in the Well Baby Nursery as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in a NICU setting.
• Current certifications in NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and BLS (Basic Life Support).
• Proven ability to care for critically ill neonates with compassion and skill.

• Weekend Requirements: Preferred but not mandatory.
• Holiday Requirements: Not required.
