Position #224-CLS-06-26: Utility Custodian Location : Wenatchee High School Hours and Salary : 8.0 hours per day, 260 days per year. Salary $22.00 - $24.22 per hour. Responsibilities Promote a clean, safe, and productive learning and teaching environment. Perform general custodial services in assigned building areas, keeping them clean and orderly. Keep building and premises, including sidewalks and driveways, neat and clean at all times. Set up and/or remove furniture and equipment for school and community events as directed. Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing heavy objects or materials; stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, reaching, climbing, and balancing. Work indoor and outdoor year‑round in noisy, crowded, dusty, fume, odor environments. Promote safety, health and comfort of students, staff and parents; greet the public in a friendly manner. Ensure building is open and secured as necessary. Use custodial power equipment and hand tools; store and use cleaning products safely. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum graduation from high school or equivalent. Prior experience in school custodial work preferred. Knowledge of general school cleaning problems, methods, materials, and equipment. Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; push and pull; talk, hear, and smell regularly. Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; occasional sitting, climbing, balancing. Regular lift/move up to 25 pounds; frequently up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, ability to adjust focus. Regular exposure to vibration; frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles; occasional wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, and outside weather year‑round.
