The Commissioning Manager will be directly responsible for overseeing all commissioning activities performed at assigned utility-scale solar sites. As part of Koch Engineered Solutions, and with locations across the United States, we are looking for ambitious and entrepreneurial-spirited professionals to join us on our growth journey to transform one of America’s fastest growing energy sectors.What You Will DoManage, oversee, develop, and train a team of Commissioning Technicians while learning and applying our Principle-Based Management philosophyManage commissioning scopes across multiple projects, including electrical testing and troubleshooting and the development of site-specific commissioning schedules, plans, testing documents, and start-up proceduresReview contracts, subcontracts, and project drawings to ensure contracted deliverables are understood, met, and align with internal commissioning requisitesExecute, maintain, and enforce DEPCOM Power Safety Procedures and ProtocolsEngage in daily/weekly interactions with peer departments, subcontractors, and customer entities, including but not limited to providing LOTO and Energized Zone TrainingPrepare project-start plans for receiving, storing, and managing materials and tools as requiredMaintain commissioning logs, equipment checklists, and LOTO logsCoordinate and perform energization, start-up, and troubleshooting of substations and commissioned field equipment, including the development of methods of procedureTravel up to 50% to project sites as necessaryWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Supervisory experience leading field personnel in commissioning and/or constructionExperience in electrical testing and troubleshootingExperience reviewing contracts, subcontracts, project drawings, and technical deliverablesWorking knowledge of applicable commissioning and electrical standards, including IEEE, IEC, ANSI, NEC, and NERC requirementsValid driver's license What Will Put You AheadUtility-scale power generation experience Medium-voltage AC, high-voltage AC, and/or high-voltage DC experienceExperience with SCADA infrastructure NETA Level II or III certificationOSHA 30 certificationNFPA 70E certificationProject Site RequirementsAbility to work outdoors, exposed to the elementsWill sit, stand, walk short distances, and climb stairs on an occasional basisRequired to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, and carry on a frequent basis; maximum of 40 lbs. liftingMust be able to comply with all safety standards and proceduresMay reach above shoulder height and below the waist on a frequent basis, to include kneeling or bendingThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.For this role, we anticipate paying $100k - $150k per year.
