Health & Safety Specialist

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Location: Hillsboro, OR

Travel: Approximately 10-20% as needed

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Specialist to support and strengthen workplace safety programs across a fast-paced industrial environment. In this role, you will partner with operational teams, leadership, and employees to ensure OSHA compliance, lead safety initiatives, conduct training, investigate incidents, and drive a culture centered around safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Support the implementation of company-wide safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety standards.
• Serve as a trusted safety resource for employees, supervisors, and leadership teams.
• Deliver safety training, coaching, and education programs across multiple departments.
• Coordinate and maintain safety training records through a Learning Management System (LMS).
• Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and workplace safety inspections.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning.
• Track incidents, near misses, hazards, and corrective actions within the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Perform audits and compliance reviews to identify improvement opportunities.
• Partner with vendors, auditors, and operations teams to resolve safety concerns.
• Review plans, equipment installations, and operational processes for safety compliance.
• Promote a positive and proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
• Support onsite health and safety initiatives within data center and industrial operations.
• Respond to occasional after-hours safety concerns and incident-related needs.

• Experience supporting health and safety programs in manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, logistics, or similar operational environments.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety best practices.
• Experience conducting safety training and coaching employees.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience operating or training employees on powered industrial equipment.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to travel up to 10-20% as required.

• Experience using Safety Management Systems (SMS) for incident tracking and corrective actions.
• Experience managing safety training through Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Experience leading incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and auditors.
• Experience reviewing equipment, machinery, and process changes from a safety compliance perspective.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to influence and promote a positive safety culture.

This position is primarily onsite in Hillsboro, OR , supporting industrial and data center operations. The role involves a combination of office and floor-based responsibilities, including conducting audits, inspections, training sessions, and safety reviews. You'll regularly interact with employees, supervisors, operational teams, and vendors while working around powered industrial equipment and industrial machinery.

The schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM , with occasional on-call availability until approximately 5:00 PM to support operational needs and address urgent safety concerns.

This is a Permanent position based out of Hillsboro, OR.

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
