Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Float

We are seeking skilled and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Medical Surgical Float team. The ideal candidates will provide high-quality patient care while floating between various medical-surgical departments.

Position Details

• Schedule: Alternating 3x12-hour shifts and 4x12-hour shifts.
• Shift Timing: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Jack/Jill schedule: 4 shifts one week followed by 3 shifts the next.
• Required to float between all medical-surgical departments, excluding critical care unit (CCU), psychiatric (psych), and rehabilitation (rehab).

Certifications Required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Licensure Requirements

Candidates must possess a valid North Carolina state license or a compact RN license.

Uniform Requirements

Scrubs must be in Grape Purple color.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care based on the nursing process.
• Ensure accurate documentation and communication with the healthcare team.
• Monitor patients' conditions and provide appropriate interventions.
• Support a positive patient experience and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license (NC or compact).
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
