Electrician Helper

The electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems in commercial, industrial and healthcare facilities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Accurately install wire, conduit, panel boards, fixtures, devices, pre-fabricated assemblies, boxes, and breakers according to job specifications and NEC Directly work with other electricians and helpers as part of a team Install electrical distribution and automation equipment: switchgear, panels, transformers, PLC control cabinets, and variable-frequency drives (VFDs) Have knowledge of circuitry of the trade, including power, control, and motor terminations Bend conduit by hand and with benders Capable of digging trenches, using hand tools or power equipment These duties and responsibilities are not all-inclusive and may change to meet the priorities and ongoing needs of the company. Qualifications and Requirements: Ability to read and understand instructions, procedures, labels, and gauges Accuracy performing basic math calculations including addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, multiplication, division, and measurements Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Self-motivation, organization, and prioritization management Proficient knowledge of OSHA standards and guidelines High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or 1-3 years of experience, or a combination of education and/or experience is preferred Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, climb, lift and carry up to 60 lbs, crawl, kneel, push and reach, and use hands to handle and feel. Work Environment: In performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee may also be exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
