Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry \n Discipline: RN \n Start Date: 10/05/2026 \n Duration: 13 weeks \n 36 hours per week \n Shift: 12 hours, nights \n Employment Type: Travel \n \n \n Candidates residing within 50–100 miles of the facility may be subject to a reduced rate or may not be accepted. \n Applicants must have worked in this unit or setting within the past year to be considered for this position. \n \n Job Title\n Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Location\n Owosso, MI | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type\n Contract | Full-Time | Nights | Onsite Key Responsibilities\n \n Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, psychological, and social needs upon admission and develop individualized written care plans within 24 hours. \n Implement and continuously evaluate plans of care, revising documentation in the medical record at least every 24 hours to reflect patient progress and outcomes. \n Administer medications and treatments in accordance with therapeutic standards, infection-control protocols, and applicable regulatory guidelines. \n Monitor patients for changes in condition, initiate appropriate interventions, and maintain accurate documentation; must be able to read and interpret heart rhythms and pass a dysrhythmia test prior to working on the floor. \n Provide ongoing patient and family education regarding disease process, medications, self-care skills, and discharge needs in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. \n Delegate tasks to and evaluate ancillary team members while maintaining professional nursing standards and participating in unit-based performance improvement initiatives. \n Required Qualifications\n \n Active Michigan RN license (verified Active status via LARA and/or Nursys required). \n Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required. \n Active American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification required. \n Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required. \n Experience floating to a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) required. \n Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and ability to read and interpret heart rhythms required. \n COVID-19 vaccination required; exemptions considered. \n Current skills checklist (within the last year, pertinent to Med Surg/Tele), 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years, and complete work history required at time of submission. \n Preferred Experience / Skills\n \n Experience in a sole community hospital or similar setting serving diverse patient populations across multiple acuity levels. \n Demonstrated ability to prioritize care effectively in a high-volume inpatient environment. \n Strong patient and family education skills with a focus on discharge planning and care coordination. \n Why Join Us\n \n Opportunity to work in a well-established acute care facility serving a broad regional community with a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team. \n Contract position offering professional growth in a Med Surg/Telemetry environment with exposure to a wide range of patient conditions and acuity levels. \n \n \n \n Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 780868.
