Physical Therapist Supplemental Pool II - Outpatient - $5,000 Sign-On Bonus!

The Supplemental Physical Therapist position covers Outpatient Rehab sites during times of vacancies, employee leaves, and periods of high volumes. It is a guaranteed 40 hours/week position that requires diverse clinical skills and flexibility. There is a $4/hour pay bonus during worked hours for this position. Experience in orthopedic and neurologic rehab are a plus.


The Physical Therapist II evaluates patients’ conditions, develops personalized treatment plans, and implements therapeutic interventions to optimize functional abilities. This position is able to effectively and efficiently treat all patients in their clinical practice setting and complete all physical therapy job functions with minimal guidance. This position initiates communication amongst inter-disciplinary team members, treats familiar patients with confidence, and advocates for their patients and team. This role requires independent practice in the primary setting and may require mentoring/guidance in complex situations and may have difficulty with cross coverage to other settings.

Essential Job Function

• Evaluates and treats all diagnoses and more complex patients.
• Conducts thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, medical history, and functional limitations to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administers therapeutic exercises and other physical therapy interventions to improve patients' strength, flexibility, and range of motion.
• Educates patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercises, and self-management techniques to improve recovery outcomes.
• Collaborates with others in developing and implementing discharge plans and recommendations for continued care.
• Monitors and documents patients' progress, treatment outcomes, and responses to interventions so that treatment plans can be adjusted as needed.
• Collaborates on teams from different departments to ensure coordinated patient care and holistic treatment outcomes.
• Assists with orientation and training of new staff, demonstrates an ongoing commitment to improve the performance and skill of co-workers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

• Required: Bachelor's degree in physical therapy.

Experience

• Required: 2 years

Licensure/Certification/Listing

• Required: North Carolina license by the NCPT Board of Physical Therapy Examiners; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
