Job Title: Assembler (1st Shift) Location: East Granby, CT Pay Rate: $24-$28/hr Job Type: Direct Hire Zip Code: 06026 Start Date: ASAP Schedule: Onsite - 1st Shift (Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm) Keywords: #Assembly #CTjobs Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency Required Assembler (1st Shift) Required Experience 3-5 years of manufacturing experience in the aerospace industry. 3-5 years of experience with assembly, fabrication, burring, blending and the usage of hand tools. Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints, engineering drawings and documents; proficiency with computer systems. Ability to pay exceptional attention to detail and handle multiple tasks effectively under deadline pressures while following direction and completing assignments accurately and on time. Interact and communicate in a professional and effective manner with all level employees. Schedule and organize time and tasks effectively. Responsibilities Perform skilled bench work to bring complex parts with tight tolerance to customer specifications by deburring, blending, sanding with hand tools and machinery, and adjusting parts as needed prior to inspection. Drill, rivet and assemble parts to close tolerance. Utilize measuring devices to gauge and measure proper specifications and conformity of manufactured parts, and determine necessary steps to correct any non-conformance parts processed. Work with engineers, managers and quality personnel to resolve problems and ensure conformance parts. Use and interpret complicated prints, drawings and process sheets to perform a variety of layouts, and complete and sign work orders identifying the operations performed. Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required.
