If you're ready to grow, lead and make a difference, come join our team and help shape the future of convenience.Senior Accountant- Reporting and AnalysisThe Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting through timely month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and detailed gross profit analysis. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.Complete balance sheet reconciliations, investigate reconciling items, and ensure timely resolution of outstanding differences.Perform detailed gross profit analysis, including variance analysis by merchandise category, vendor, and location.Analyze sales, inventory, cost of sales, markdowns, shrink, and other factors impacting gross margin performance.Prepare monthly management financial reports and schedules.Ensure compliance with GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal control requirements.Participate in system enhancements, automation initiatives, and process improvement projects.Ad-hoc duties as neededQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.4-6 years of progressive accounting experience.CPA certification or CPA eligible is a plus.Key Skills:Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.Experience performing financial statement and gross profit analysis.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, Power Query, and complex formulas.Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or similar financial systems.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.Knowledge of inventory accounting, cost of sales, and gross margin reportingExperience supporting process automation and reporting enhancements using Power BI or similar analytics tools.
