Title: Splunk Ingest Engineer

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: 1+ year contract

Rate: $Open

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field or equivalent professional experience
2. Effective communication and collaboration skills
3. Problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about security
4. Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with the rapidly evolving cyber threat landscape
5. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Splunk Administration

Ideal Core Competencies and Experience

1. Windows and Linux operating system administration
2. Hardware, software, and network-level troubleshooting
3. Automation via Infrastructure as Code (IaC), e.g. Terraform, Ansible, etc.
4. Programming/scripting experience e.g.: Python, PowerShell, Bash, Golang, C, JS, SQL, etc.
5. Log management and parsing strategies
6. CI/CD pipeline experience e.g.: Jenkins, Concourse, Github Actions, etc.
7. Cloud Platforms, e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP
8. Familiarity with security compliance frameworks and regulations such as NIST 800-171 or 800-53

Relevant Certifications

1. Splunk Architect certification
2. Splunk Administrator certification
3. Red Hat Enterprise Linux certifications, such as RHCSE or RHCSA
4. Cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) certifications
5. Prior DoD or FedRAMP experience
