We're looking for an experienced Senior Accountant who enjoys helping clients succeed through tax planning, accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. This is a full-time, in-office position offering diverse, year-round work with opportunities to expand your technical knowledge and take on increasing responsibility as our firm continues to grow.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Accountant, you'll play an important role in providing high-quality service to our clients by:

• Preparing federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, S corporations, partnerships, estates, and trusts. 
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping engagements. 
• Preparing compiled and internally prepared financial statements. 
• Assisting clients with year-round tax planning and compliance. 
• Responding to IRS and state tax notices and correspondence. 
• Representing clients before the IRS when appropriate. 
• Assisting clients with accounting questions and business operations. 
• Working with both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online. 
• Maintaining accurate electronic workpapers and client documentation. 
• Collaborating with team members to ensure exceptional client service. 

Qualifications

Required

• Active Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. 
• Three to five years of public accounting or professional tax preparation experience. 
• Experience preparing individual and business income tax returns. 
• Experience in performing bookkeeping and preparing financial statements. 
• Strong knowledge of federal and Ohio tax law; and IRS procedures. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines. 
• Commitment to providing exceptional client service. 

Preferred

• Experience preparing fiduciary (estate and trust) income tax returns. 
• Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online. 
• Experience using UltraTax CS or similar professional tax software. 
• Experience with tax planning and client advisory services. 
• Experience with Microsoft Power Point.
• Payroll tax and payroll processing experience.
