BI Engineer

A team is focused on expanding and optimizing a Microsoft analytics platform. This role is focused on owning the Power BI and Microsoft Fabric environment. The position holder will serve as the expert for Power BI administration, semantic modeling, DAX development, data access, governance, and platform customization while partnering with analysts and business stakeholders to deliver scalable analytics solutions.

Location: Des Moines, Iowa (Partial Remote)

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in BI, analytics engineering, or data platform development.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and semantic models.
• Experience administering or owning a Power BI environment (workspaces, security, access, governance).
• Microsoft Fabric experience, including dataflows and platform capabilities.
• Experience with Azure data technologies such as Data Factory, Synapse, or OneLake.
• Experience working with Snowflake and/or Databricks.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and analytics platforms.
• Ability to act as the team's Power BI/Fabric subject matter expert.
