Part Time - Health Instructor Location: Lake County Campus - Clear Lake, CA Responsibilities Develop and deliver instructional lectures for health courses up to 10 hours/week Organize and teach all levels of health classes Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired Required Duties Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students Required Qualifications Master’s in health science, health education, biology, nursing, physical education, kinesiology, exercise science, dietetics, nutrition or public health Or a bachelor’s degree in any of the above and a Master’s in any biological science Equivalency applicants must submit a completed Equivalency Application through the YCCD Equivalency Application Process Benefits Part‑time positions less than 0.60 FTE are not entitled to any District paid fringe benefits.
