Job Overview Fusion Medical Staffing‑Long Term Care is seeking a travel nurse RN for a 13‑week assignment in Tyndall, South Dakota. Job Details Specialty: Long Term Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/27/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Pay: 12 hour shifts, 36 hours per week with possible tax‑free stipend (subject to confirmation) Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as an RN in a long‑term care setting Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS (AHA/ARC) or CPR certification Preferred Qualifications ACLS Certification Other certifications as required by the facility Essential Work Functions Assess patient or resident health, monitor changes, and take appropriate action. Develop, update, and implement personalized care plans with residents, families, and the patient care team. Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately. Observe residents for medication reactions or changes, reporting concerns to the provider. Provide skilled procedures (wound care, IV therapy, catheter management) within scope of practice. Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs, delegating appropriately. Educate residents and families on medications, treatments, and chronic‑condition management. Document care, progress, and health changes in a timely manner. Respond quickly to emergencies and coordinate with medical teams. Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and other professionals for comprehensive care. Perform other duties assigned within scope of practice. Follow facility safety protocols, infection‑control guidelines, and regulatory standards. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking). Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and use PC skills. Physical abilities: remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend. Interpersonal skills: work with diverse personnel, maintain positive attitude. Technical/motor skills: grasp, fine manipulation, assist with procedures, use department equipment. Mental requirements: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with or without supervision, handle irregular schedules, concentrate on details.
