ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide friendly customer service

Take and fulfill accurate special orders

Quality Control

Label items correctly

Maintain a clean and tidy workspace and sales area

Communicate effectively with coworkers

Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences

Other duties as assigned

Ability to communicate effectively with guests and all personnel

Good oral and written communication skills; bi-lingual English/Spanish language skills a plus

Complete understanding of all safety requirements and policies

Knowledge of perishable food

Requires proper training and knowledge of the following equipment/procedures: slicers, baler, oven, fryer, stove top, rotisserie, etc.

Must be able to work at a fast pace and multitask

Must be self-motivated

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to handle working at fast speeds

Lifting up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis

May be exposed to extreme temperatures

WORK SCHEDULE

A deli clerk may work a first or second shift, and is required to work at least every other weekend.
